Description & mechanism
IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 insulin-like growth factor 1) is a recombinant analogue of human IGF-1 with an arginine substitution at position 3 and a 13-amino-acid N-terminal extension, which reduce binding to IGF-binding proteins. It is used in research to study IGF-1 receptor signalling in cell-culture models.

Specifications
Handling, reconstitution & storage
Reconstitute the lyophilized solid in sterile water or an acidic bacteriostatic diluent to the desired working concentration; mix by gentle inversion and avoid vigorous agitation or repeated freeze-thaw. Sterile-filter (0.22 µm) if aseptic use is required, aliquot into single-use volumes, and store reconstituted material frozen at -20 °C.
