Description & mechanism
KPV is the tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val, corresponding to the C-terminal sequence of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH). It is used in research to investigate melanocortin-pathway-associated signalling in immune-cell culture models.

Specifications
Handling, reconstitution & storage
Reconstitute the lyophilized solid in sterile water or bacteriostatic diluent to the desired working concentration; mix by gentle inversion and avoid vigorous agitation or repeated freeze-thaw. Sterile-filter (0.22 µm) if aseptic use is required, aliquot into single-use volumes, and store reconstituted material frozen at -20 °C.
