Description & mechanism
Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide (sequence Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro) derived from the endogenous peptide tuftsin. It is used in research to investigate neuropeptide signalling and immune-cell interactions in cell-culture models.

Handling, reconstitution & storage
Reconstitute the lyophilized solid in sterile water or bacteriostatic diluent to the desired working concentration; mix by gentle inversion and avoid vigorous agitation or repeated freeze-thaw. Sterile-filter (0.22 µm) if aseptic use is required, aliquot into single-use volumes, and store reconstituted material frozen at -20 °C.
