Description & mechanism
Semaglutide is a synthetic GLP-1 receptor agonist based on a modified human GLP-1 sequence. It is used in research to study GLP-1 receptor pharmacology, incretin signalling, and glucose-stimulated insulin secretion in metabolic models.

Handling, reconstitution & storage
Reconstitute the lyophilized solid in sterile water or bacteriostatic diluent to the desired working concentration; mix by gentle inversion and avoid vigorous agitation or repeated freeze-thaw. Sterile-filter (0.22 µm) if aseptic use is required, aliquot into single-use volumes, and store reconstituted material frozen at -20 °C.
