SS-31 (10mg–50mg)
Description & mechanism
SS-31 (elamipretide) is a synthetic aromatic-cationic peptide that concentrates in the inner mitochondrial membrane. It is used in research to study mitochondrial bioenergetics, cardiolipin interactions, and oxidative-stress signalling in cell and isolated-organelle preparations.
Applications in research
- Mitochondrial-membrane and cardiolipin interaction studies
- Bioenergetics and reactive-oxygen-species signalling in cell or isolated-mitochondria models
- Organelle-targeted peptide research

Handling, reconstitution & storage
Reconstitute the lyophilized solid in sterile water or bacteriostatic diluent to the desired working concentration; mix by gentle inversion and avoid vigorous agitation or repeated freeze-thaw. Sterile-filter (0.22 µm) if aseptic use is required, aliquot into single-use volumes, and store reconstituted material frozen at -20 °C.
Precautions & notes
