Description & mechanism
Glutathione (gamma-L-glutamyl-L-cysteinyl-glycine) is an endogenous tripeptide and the predominant low-molecular-weight thiol in mammalian cells. It is used in research to study redox homeostasis, xenobiotic conjugation by glutathione S-transferases, and oxidative-stress responses in cell-free and cell-culture systems.

Handling, reconstitution & storage
Reconstitute the lyophilized solid in sterile water or a suitable aqueous buffer to the desired working concentration; mix by gentle inversion and avoid repeated freeze-thaw. Aliquot into single-use volumes and store reconstituted material frozen at -20 °C.
